Clearly written pamphlet series on urgent social issues and timely problems, written concisely by experts in their fields.

Dictionaries
First and foremost is the Japanese language dictionary Kojien. Iwanami also publishes dictionaries on physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, economics, history of thought and philosophy, Japanese history, Buddhism, biographical data, Japanese proverbs, and foreign languages such as English, Russian, and Chinese.
Electronic Publishing
